GPSC declares Deputy Director of Agriculture final result: 12 recommended, and 52 more doctors called for Medical Officer interviews on 6 and 7 November
GPSC has recommended 12 candidates for Deputy Director of Agriculture or District Agriculture Officer, Class 1, after interviews from 27 to 30 October, with the general cut-off at 64.06 weighted marks. It has also added 52 candidates to the Medical Officer, Class 2 interviews on 6 and 7 November; call letters can be downloaded until 11 am on 7 November.

The Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) closed one recruitment and moved another along on 2 November 2026. It published the final result for Deputy Director of Agriculture or District Agriculture Officer, Class 1, in the Agriculture, Farmers Welfare and Co-operation Department (Advt 122/2024-25), and a detailed interview programme adding 52 candidates to the Medical Officer, Class 2 interviews (Advt 82/2024-25).

Deputy Director of Agriculture: 12 posts, 12 filled
Interviews were held on 27, 28, 29 and 30 October 2026. All 12 advertised posts have been filled, and GPSC has recommended the selected candidates to the state government for appointment.
| Category | Posts | Filled | Cut-off (weighted marks out of 100) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unreserved | 3 | 3 | 64.06 |
| Unreserved, women | 1 | 1 | 35.96 |
| EWS | 3 | 3 | 28.19 |
| SEBC | 2 | 2, plus 2 on unreserved posts | 56.71 |
| ST | 2 | 2 | 35.37 |
| ST, women | 1 | 1 | 30.83 |
| Total | 12 | 12 |
The two highest scorers, at 64.74 and 64.12, are SEBC candidates. They beat the unreserved cut-off without using any age relaxation, so under the General Administration Department's circulars GPSC has recommended them against unreserved posts. No candidate with a disability was available for interview, so that post was filled under the department's circular of 19 January 2026.
How the marks were worked out: the prelim (out of 300) and the interview (out of 100) each carry 50%. GPSC divides the prelim score by 6 and the interview score by 2 and adds them. Two candidates each are on the waiting lists for the unreserved, EWS, SEBC and ST categories, and 25 interviewed candidates were not selected.
Medical Officer, Class 2: 52 added for 6 and 7 November
For the joint recruitment of Medical Officer, Class 2, Insurance Medical Officer (Allopathy), Class 2, and Tutors in various subjects, Class 2, GPSC has added 52 candidates to Part 2 of the eleventh interview phase. Twenty-six are called on Friday, 6 November and twenty-six on Saturday, 7 November 2026, with a 9 am reporting time.
