GPSSB Gujarat Panchayat recruitment 2026: every post's status, result, merit list and cut-off

Status as of 28 October 2026. "On list" is the number of names on the provisional merit list cum document verification list (PML), or on the final list where one is out. The cut-off is the general category's last mark out of 200.

Category-wise vacancies are in each short advertisement. Applications for all eight closed between 2 May and 20 May 2026 on OJAS.

Category-wise cut-offs

These are the "Category Wise Minimum (Cutoff) Marks" printed at the end of each list, out of 200. Where men and women have different cut-offs, both are shown as men / women.

Every list sets the minimum qualifying standard at 40% of total marks, 80 of 200. Tracer has fewer names (234) than posts (245), so its general cut-off sits just above that floor.

The 2025-26 special drive for candidates with disabilities

Advertisements 1 to 16 of 2025-26 were a Special Recruitment Drive only for PwBD candidates, 1,251 posts in all (short advertisement). Most have reached a final list.

The PDFs are on GPSSB's provisional merit list and final selection list pages. For Livestock Inspector, the notice of 5 March 2026 says none of the 8 who appeared reached the minimum, so the process was closed.

How GPSSB selection works

1. Written test (CBRT). One objective paper. For the 2026-27 posts it is 200 marks in three hours: general awareness 35, Gujarati grammar 20, English 20, maths and reasoning 25, and 100 marks on the job's own subject (Junior Pharmacist advertisement). A correct answer earns 1 mark and a wrong one costs 0.25. For Work Assistant, Tracer and AAE Civil, GPSSB cut the penalty from 0.33 to 0.25 on 12 January 2026 (notice).
2. Answer keys. Response sheet, then the provisional answer key with an objection window, then the final answer key.
3. Provisional result. Each candidate sees their own marks after logging in with confirmation number, date of birth and an OTP.
4. Provisional merit list cum document verification list. Names are picked against the vacancies, category by category. Being on it does not mean you are selected; the PML says so in its own notes.
5. Document verification. Now done online: scan originals and upload them on iass.gujarat.gov.in, with the attestation form from the GPSSB download menu. Anyone who does not upload and press SUBMIT in time is declared "Not eligible".
6. District allotment. Candidates who clear verification are called, in serial order, to choose a district on screen at GPSSB's office in Karmayogi Bhavan, Sector 10/A, Gandhinagar. For the PwBD Junior Clerk drive, 112 were called on 22 October 2026 (notice).
7. Final select list and recommendation cum district allotment list. The appointing authority then checks originals again before issuing an appointment order.

How to check your GPSSB result and merit list

• Lists with names: on gpssb.gujarat.gov.in, open Provisional Merit List or Final Selection List and find your advertisement number. The PDFs show confirmation number, seat number, name, category and marks.
• Your own marks: each "Provisional Result" notice links to a login page. For Junior Pharmacist it is open from 9 October to 29 October 2026, 11:00 pm. For Laboratory Technician and AAE Electrical it is open from 15 October to 4 November 2026, 11:55 pm (LT result notice).
• Document upload: for all three 2026-27 lists, the window on iass.gujarat.gov.in runs from 27 October to 15 November 2026, 11:59 pm (Junior Pharmacist instructions). Each file must be under 2 MB. Post or email is not accepted, and you cannot edit after submitting.

What the opt-out window means

An opt-out lets a candidate who cleared verification give up their claim, for example because they were selected in another recruitment. The seat then goes to the next eligible candidate. GPSSB used it for Work Assistant: first from 7 to 14 September 2026, then again after a notice of 22 September, and a last time from 1 to 3 October 2026 (first notice, last notice). You apply only on OJAS, under Other Application and then Withdraw Candidature, by uploading a handwritten, signed self-declaration and an OTP. It cannot be undone. Background: our news report.

What comes next for posts still waiting

• Junior Pharmacist, Laboratory Technician, AAE Electrical: upload by 15 November 2026; then a verified list and a district allotment date.
• Work Assistant and Tracer: verification is over; the final select list is next, with no date given.
• Livestock Inspector: the final answer key and result are still to come.
• Gram Sevak: GPSSB's notice of 25 August 2026 said the exam was likely in October 2026. As of 28 October 2026, no exam date or call letter notice is on the site.
• Mukhya Sevika, MPHW, Female Health Worker: no exam programme yet.
• PwBD Staff Nurse and MPHW: final lists awaited.
